  1. If the person who sent this package is reading this - I am flattered. The postman did give me a funny look this morning! :D

  7. I'm 6'5" (1.95m) Tall and had to raise my bathroom cabinets 6" or 150mm from approximately 30 inches to 36 inches to save my back from bending over so far. I just made an inexpensive frame from 2X6's(50mmX150mm), that matched the same footprint of the cabinet, to raise the cabinets up to a comfortable level. I then covered the exposed framing with inexpensive molding to finish it off. It did not cost very much and looked like it was meant to be that way. (I hope my metric conversions are close and make sense!)

  9. One of my favourite songs! Am I right in thinking that Van Morrisons Bright side of the road was a response to Dark end of the street?

  11. Well thank you for those nice messages, I last posted on here last December and I've been busy ever since I'm afraid to say... I'm back to being a full-time Dad and watch repairs has taken a back seat somewhat, but recently I did manage to refit the mechanism from my Omega into the new case I bought last year; I'll make a proper post in the relevant area though ;) Thanks again! P.S: I have a Granada Blog that you might be interested in: http://adamsgranadablog.weebly.com/

  12. Plastic fantastic, I've never seen anything like it in my life. It reminds me of the small plastic gifts you used to get small cars in Corn Flake packets back in the fifties. They came assembled, but would break down into about eight pieces for reassembly. Ah those were the days. PS Does anyone remember the baking soda submarine? It was my favourite!

  14. There was one part that made me smile "It is good practice to clean oil pots and replenish with fresh oil every week" The Author must be well off as Moebius Synt-a-lube 9010 for instance is at least a tenner for a couple of mil. Vic
