  1. Hi George, it would appear that the 7733 came with either 30 or 45 minute counters. Have a read of the specifications on the is page http://www.habring2.com/en/archive/chrono

  3. Here's the one I was thinking of. A great solution for acceptable cost I think. https://omegaforums.net/threads/my-new-tinkering-table.24515/#post-271034

  5. OMG the world is going mad. After becoming interested in watches after buying a cheap knock off watch in Turkey, then graduating to more highend replica watches & finally buying genuine watches. This makes me smile, as the reason I became interested in watch repair was that no watchsmith would ever touch a replica watch. Now we are saying that I could take a Gen watch in for service & end up with replica parts lol. Here's a good example of gen v rep Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk

  6. Glad you got it worked out and that the fix was an easy one. Nice watch by the way. There is an extra emotional attachment to a watch that belonged to a family member that does increase my tension level however those are the ones I enjoy working on the most. Charles

  7. I agree! :) Although I think calling someone's work an "Abomination!!" borders on that. :) :) By the way, the decal paper produced much lower quality results than the photo paper. For one thing, the surface of the decal paper is not as uniformly absorbent as the photo paper, resulting in some ink pooling and some dry spots. To get around that, I applied two layers of decal, since it was unlikely the dry spots would would coincide. Unfortunately, the slightest misalignment (even 1/1000th of an inch) then results in fuzzy edges. I may attempt another "decal watch" with a light background, where hopefully I'll need only one layer of decal, and I also have another "photo paper watch" planned. Better cover your eyes! :)

  8. Just used baking soda, it took the edge off, see below Then I progressed to l&r rust remover which made a dent too :) Not bad, going to polish up the pushers see if I can salvage, thanks for the help, now onto getting the movement to function correctly!

  9. Personally I wouldn't recommend it as your first attempt at watch repair. I would suggest that you buy a cheap movement off EBay and practice on that first.Study some of Mark's watch repair videos before doing anything. The one thing you will have to learn is touch. These things are very delicate and you must get used to handling the tools and small parts.
