  1. Hi everyone.... I thought I'd share this unusual (to me anyway) art deco clock movement. To wind the clock you actually turn the barrel by hand, as it forms the 'back' of the clock. It had me flumexed for a bit as I couldn't get the barrel off to service the movement. I think it should have just pulled off after the circlip was removed....but a little burr on the centre bush prevented coming off. Anyway I persevered and I eventually levered it off and smoothed out the bush. I liked how the manufacturer transferred the power from what would have been the the barrel wheel into the train. No idea who made it as there's no marks anywhere, all I can guess it's early 20th Century possibly English. If anyone recognises the movement or has any info please feel free.... cheers Al
