Dear All,

greetings from Hamburg. My name is Alex Törzs and I have been an admierer of the watchmaker’s art ever since. However taking it up as a serious pastime with structured learning took me a while and only 6 months ago I really started out setting up a bench and buying tools and books. Apart from that I live in Hamburg, married with 4 grown kids and 2 grandchildren. I have been what in England is called a TV Lighting Cameraman and in the US a Director of Photography for almost 20 years now and started out as an Assistant Cameraman in 1981. I am not a watch collector but more interested in the art itself. That’s why - apart from those I buy at the flea market for educational reasons - I indeed have only one watch (I kid you not). I bought it in 1989 and have been wearing it since. It’s a 20th anniversary Speedmaster.

See you soon,

Alex
