Hi, I'm 56 and live near Stuttgart.

I have been collecting pocket watches for a while now and own several watches in need of repair.

I'm mainly interested in vintage pocket watches, especially in such with fusee movement and English lever escapement.

I am a beginner in watch repairs and look forward to learn as much as I can.

Thank you for your introduction and welcome to this friendly forum.

Before starting on fusse pocket watches, they are very different from English Lever movements and much more difficult. The English Lever is best to start with, apart from the size they are very much like a basic watch movement.

Welcome my friend, lots of help here, pocket watches are great to start on due to their size, makes it easier to see everything. As has been said fussee movements are a tad more difficult, ive only stripped one so far, still waiting for the time and inclination to put it back together again.
