Hi frinds , im new at the hobby of watches hoping to make a few bucks at it when i retair . What is the average cost of a good serviceing, clean and oiling of my new watch

I can tell you now you have just asked the million dollar question, I know my local Smith will charge a minimum of £45 for a basic non complicated watch service.

If this is post 1985 (unlikely from the look of it) then Longines will only charge you £160.  Omega would charge £410 for similar. For vintage calibres Longines don’t list prices, but Omega used to be about double.

Over here,minimum $100.IF,you can find someone willing to do it.

And there in lies the crux, finding someone willing to do it, I’m now stopping doing favour work for people after the last job, bloody nightmare and still ongoing
