I live in Northeast Tennessee and like to collect wrist watches.  At the moment my issue is with a cheap Gruen I purchased around 1990.  It stopped working a year ago and when I took it apart saw that the movement, a Shiajiri Y142A, it has plastic gears, including the one that drives the hour hand which was not moving.  For sentimental reasons I would love to get a new movement for it, ideally something of better quality.  Does anyone know of a cross reference that includes Shiajiri movements?

Thanks,

You can find a  Shi Y142B or 147b on ebay. I think i have a few but if they work i don't know. Have to test first.  But if you are after parts i have plenty.

Not sure if this is for me. No PM received.

My bad. I should have specified it was for the OP. Please excuse my oversight.
