Hi

For Christmas this one had a new crystal and band fitted.  It has been needing attention for years and my wife did it as a surprise.  I have 6 watches that I use, she has bought 3 of them and made this one useable  and yes I think she is a real treasure.

The back still needs to be sorted as it does not tighten properly, so I will get that fixed very soon.

This belonged to my dad, I remember him having it forever.  The Keora brand is something that Mr Google does his best to avoid and provides alternatives. I did see one on eBay UK some time ago.  This watch was purchased in the UK, possibly in the late 40s early 50s.post-65-0-95418300-1390807033_thumb.jpg

The watch is a wind up and is a really good time keeper.  It always was.  I think the watch is from the 1940s.

The lugs are worn, the case needs plating, the crown is worn smooth, the dial is a bit average and the minute hand has lost its lume, but I really could not care less.  I will get the back repaired to keep the dust out, but I can live with the rest.  If it was totally refurbished, it would not be dad's watch any more.

I just enjoy being able to wear it and winding it is always a pleasure.

Hi All

Where did the edit button go?  I am sure I have found it previously!!!

Just wanted to add the watch size, it is quite small by todays standards.

Case 29.5mm Over the crown 30.0mm and across the lugs 36.0mm

Edit

Now that is really strange second post has an edit button but not the first!!!!!!!!
