Hi Everyone, Ive been an avid reader of the forum for quite a while and finally today I thought I should join in the fun.

I hail from Bradford, but via lots of different European cities, I eventually settled in Wakefield, West Yorkshire.

I've been a tinkerer with watches for quite a while, but this year I've decided to get some proper tools and set myself a target of learning to dismantle and rebuild some old watches (wrist and pocket variety) I also have an old family heirloom pendulum clock that stopped some years ago, which I'm tempted to have a go at !

Its basics for me I'm afraid, so no doubt there will be the obligatory silly and daft questions....I know there are some knowledgeable people on here, so you will have to forgive the naivety of my questions, but hey, we all have to start somewhere

Nice to be here

Steve

Thank you for your introduction and welcome to this friendly forum.

The clock would probably be the best to start with. If you could post a few photos including the movement, I will be able to advise you.
