I am a new member always interested in mechanics. as I get older and unable to physically work on auto mechanics, the mechanics of a watch have intrigued me to no end.  I am interested in watch repair courses. and gaining experience in building and repair..

Hello paul,

Welcome to WRT.  I,d give a good clean to your old micrometer, useful watch repair tool. Have you looked into machining watch parts?

From your username I'd guess you're into bikes? I've had the GPz 1100 (both FI n carbs) and also the turbo. (and a host of others). Currently still have a ZR-7S which is probably the last 8valve 4-cyl aircooled Kawasaki made (in 2001). Love them to death.

Cheers!

had to give up the bikes. Kawasaki voyager, and 96 gpz1100 with ABS great bike for the money. but having my back fused from T11- S1 kinda left no room to play. So at age 70 I have moved on to other interests. not easy but necessary. Now I would like to build a watch.

Welcome here and sorry about your condition. Yes bikes have to be put aside at some point but the bug stays. Kawa is my favorite maker, I had a GPZ 900R as first brand new bike at 19, now the Ninja 6R is slowly decaying and will have to go, I limit myself to a Yamaha Tricker with wish I can take a bit of off-road too.
