If that was a Chinese copy I wouldn't be surprised, I have found that even the same mov't from different factories has differences.
But this is about a Sellita SW200 auto bridge on top of the ETA. The screw position is slightly offset, so it can't be used. I suspect that there are many more small differences made to make parts not interchangeable.

Or perhaps legal, or technical, I simply don't know.

I was under the impression that the patent on the 2824 movement had long expired so there shouldn't be any legal reasons  not or make exact copies. I'd be more inclined to think it's either a clone not following spec 100% or a deliberate alteration to make clone parts not interchangeable.

Hi there ,as far as I know the sw200 is a direct drop in movement for the eta 2824 ,however the bridges cannot be swapped either ,the holding pins are differently placed .Just like vehicle manufacturing they need to make money on parts.:rolleyes:
