Hello everyone,

New to the forum and looking to get deeper into watch making. Started as a small thing changing batteries and has gotten more exciting when I started to open up mechanical pieces. How lovely to see the inner workings of watches. To think, if well taken care of, they can outlive you, and possibly your grandchildren! As an aviation professional, there is a certain standard that we adhere to for maintenance. I noticed that a lot with time pieces as well which I really like. Especially the craftsmanship involved for both. Cheers!

Welcome. Attention to detail probably sums up both professions. A great project to start with would be a 1940s aviation time clock like you find in a Spitfire or Mustang.
