toptime810 Posted May 16, 2020 Posted May 16, 2020 Hello fellow watch lovers, I have just completed a build from part sourced from various sellers. It turned out to be the best build for me yet and I have really amazed myself and the skills I had to exercise on this timepiece. I have impressed myself with this one and it is a stunner with a salmon dial. The NATO strap is very lovely on this timepiece. I apologize for the lack of details on this beauty, Enjoy 7 1 Quote
HSL Posted May 16, 2020 Posted May 16, 2020 You done very good a good looking watch for sure, you can be proud. Is it based on a Landeron 48 or similar? PS. Just a tip. the chronograph hand should just reach the outer perimeter of the seconds , now its just a tad to long Quote
toptime810 Posted May 16, 2020 Author Posted May 16, 2020 I fabricated the second hand because they are impossible to find. I cut it down and bent the tip like the vintage hands a little to miss the crystal. No Landeron movement in this one. The dial and movement and hands did not fit so I had to make them fit. Quote
watchweasol Posted May 16, 2020 Posted May 16, 2020 A nice clean job like the dial colour nice and warm . Quote
Tom32 Posted May 16, 2020 Posted May 16, 2020 That's a lovely looking watch. The salmon dial looks great and the NATO strap is an excellent choice. Quote
Watchtime Posted May 25, 2020 Posted May 25, 2020 loks really nice, would love to see some photos from the building process. Quote
toptime810 Posted May 26, 2020 Author Posted May 26, 2020 Here are a few. Had to make all the parts fit eachother and it took about 6 hours to complete. 2 Quote
black13 Posted June 2, 2020 Posted June 2, 2020 What a stunner!! Can you please elaborate about the parts? I was looking to create something similar. Congrats dude! Quote
toptime810 Posted June 4, 2020 Author Posted June 4, 2020 I just searched ebay everyday until the parts were available. This type of dial is very difficult to find. I started with a case then I found the dial that fit that case and then find a movement that will fit the case. If it doesnt fiT then just make it fit. Saw, grind, file, paint, whatever u need to do to make it fit. Quote

toptime810 Posted June 4, 2020 Author Posted June 4, 2020 Mechanical movement using modified D304 and venus 150 parts. I just sold it on eBay within one week of being on the auction site. It is a beauty and did not want to let it go but I need a lathe Quote
SparkyLB Posted June 17, 2020 Posted June 17, 2020 Good looking watch. Such a pretty dial. You did well. Congrats! Quote
NewToWatches Posted January 6, 2021 Posted January 6, 2021 Wow! Stunning combo. So classy! Love the blue hands. May I ask the process that produced that blue? Quote
toptime810 Posted January 7, 2021 Author Posted January 7, 2021 Thanks for the Inquiry, those are store bought hands from ofrei, but I have figured out the paint and how to do it with my airbrush. Quote
KarlvonKoln Posted January 7, 2021 Posted January 7, 2021 Awesome looking build there! I feel like echoing what the others have said: the color combination is an eye-catching choice. Quote
