This one was different and seems to be a seiko 7006a as a base caliber

You will probably find it is a UTC 233 (unitime/universal time Corp), Seiko made for bare movement export.

I just checked Ranft DB and it's saying UTC 233 and 33 are based on the 6601 which has a bph of 18,000. This one is 21600. Not great amp because I am sure it needs a service but it looks very much like a 7006a, at least in pics. But whatever it is, it's worth 30 cents at least!20250305_1834472.thumb.jpg.1600bba6c5c02b1bb52fca8dde3b6209.jpg

I also checked Emmy Wat h Database and side by side with the Westclox A361-1 and Seiko 6601 and 7006a parts list and the parts match the 7006a such as the oscillating weight balance complete and several others. I did not go too much deeper because none of the part numbers matched the 6601...just want to see if there is a corresponding case number. It says Hong Kong on the inside of the caseback and I know by the early 80s they had sourced out many items to HK for manufacturing.

Found the UTC 38 which might be the one. Matching balance complete and others and 21600 bph!

Next is this nice dial in a chrome bezel that I popped a new crystal and added a carded strap. Missing the second hand at 34mm still a nice watch on my small wrist. A 1 jewel pin pallet but nice dial and the bezel is in great shape.20250304_1127252.thumb.jpg.b95116b5439aeec86c85c338cb894876.jpgDSCN63502.thumb.JPG.c2f7dbb3f397a1fc02b28512cb743047.JPG

Got as part of a job lot of quartz so cost me 95p.

Runs and keeps good time which isn't bad for 60 year old watch and should be a quick flip with a new acrylic.

These old Ingersoll and later Timex character watches that have character names but no pictures are so perplexing to me. As a 9 year old I feel like I would have been disappointed to receive a Mickey Mouse watch that didn't have Mickey on it. (although I think these were sold with a little plastic statuette, right?)

I think it was the late 50s ones that cam with the statue.

I somewhere have a bag of red hands for the Hopalong Cassidy watch, it is probably the same as the other red ones. I have restored a few Hopalong Cassidy Timex watches.

No it's Chrome plated brass, but absolutely no wear. The caseback has some plate wear.

Another one from this $10 bag. This is probably the best of the bunch. A 6106c auto that hacks. Plating wear but original H link bracelet and buckle.20250310_1456022.thumb.jpg.a74cc25d669434d7fb14abbe35220854.jpg20250310_1456242.thumb.jpg.50d8d5fe6da449f7c99cd890fba1c819.jpg

The pawl levers were worn and not working to wind the mainspring. Found a donor 7006a and replaced the trainbridge. Was clumsy and broke the escape wheel pivot but got the one off the donor movement which I won for $9.08 including tac and shipping. This case has seiko turtle DNA 20250325_1022072.thumb.jpg.94cb8fedf6a4fcd3171faaa350ea588a.jpg20250325_1025102.thumb.jpg.590e3a73cd8c230e259e7a6b9fb5ee16.jpg20250325_1021092.thumb.jpg.f12db66e05d38a29a2cd6cfd812689dd.jpgand is 41mm, 39.5mm lug to lug and 12mm thick. Wears very nice on the wrist.
