So

many many years ago, my dad and I built a grandfather clock, after reading a children’s book about a lad who did just that. The book was very informative and it was quite an easy build from scratch. Lord only knows the name of the book (a child’s book around 55 years ago), or what happened to the book.

Roll forward those 55 years, and now in lockdown. So looking around for things to do and watch-work seems to fit the bill. So after splashing out on a new shed and the kit Necessary  to build watches, I am about to start on my firsT strip down of a pocket watch purchased especially for the project. Plan being if I can strip it and re-build It then perhaps tackle more complex projects as time goes by. Found this site by accident after looking for a lathe. So it seams I found quite a chronicle of experience and ability?
