thanks, mine just messed up, I wasn't paying attention and the fluid was low and I had the large basket on when it jammed into the first jar not lifting up enough, I was able to stop and save the original L&R jar but I think the shaft is twisted at the nut which is the way I obtained it, I had a machinist make me another one and it had been working for years with no problem, these are great machines...

Welcome to the forum, enjoy. Hopefully a member on this forum has serviced or repaired this particular Bulova to advise.

I presume when goes past the problem spot, the seconds hand goes round the dial only once but get stuck at that point again. This can support neven's point, dial not keeping the hour wheel down in place, and is there a dial washer or its missing the washer. Needs a bit of clarification, runs fine even when seconds hand stops. A picture of the watch doesn't help to spot the fault, ones that shows suspect spots does. I assume its a mechanical movement, yet need clarification to be sure. Regs

My suggestion would be as you are in USA to take a look at Sherline because they are in USA & still in business & you can not only buy the lathe but also a milling attachment & a manual or computer controlled indexer either separately or as a complete kit. I don’t have Sherline or have anything to do with Sherline but a lot of people doing watch & or clocks use them to do some very nice work , have a look at Jerry Kieffer on NAWCC. https://www.google.com/search?q=mb.nawcc.org+Jerry+Kieffer&rlz=1C9BKJA_enGB1138GB1138&oq=mb.nawcc.org+Jerry+Kieffer&gs_lcrp=EgZjaHJvbWUyBggAEEUYOTIHCAEQIRigAdIBCTI4NjI2ajBqN6gCE7ACAeIDBBgBIF_xBf8MHBWZkt3l&hl=en-GB&sourceid=chrome-mobile&ie=UTF-8 Dell
