swap a 552 movement for a 565

I want to swap out a 552 for a 565.  Will the case be able to accomadate this?  I have a 1963-67 omega Seamaster deville automatic with date

According to sources, they are the same size and same family, so it should be possible.

BTW, this is not reddit, we're are a friendly community with a dedicated section where it's considered polite to introduce themselves even before asking questions.

It should work, but note that some models have different heights of wheels presumably to accommodate thicker dials.
