Hello all. I've been interested in watches for a long time and have decided to jump into the hobby. I've been doing Mark's course and trying to absorb as much as possible. I've been a hobby machinist for years so it's a bit of change working on such small items, the smallest stuff I usually work with is #10 threads and up so 1mm threads seem minute.

How far are you into Mark's course?

I'm starting level 3. It's a really good course. I found him on YouTube and the videos and explanations are so good that it gave me the confidence to dive deeper into the hobby.
