That's a very nice watch you have acquired, I really like it. I'm sure Will have informative comments when he sees it. :)

Thanks, guys. I'm pretty proud of this score. I have a lot of RR grades in my colection , Walthams, Hamiltons, Illinois etc. but this is my first Howard. They are few and far between on the market.

I'm sorry about the huge size. I resized them but, well, who knows what happened.

Don't be, it lets blind old gits like me see it easier! :)

WOW,  pocket watches do not get much better than that.  I notice the regulator is on maximum retard and that this is putting an extra strain on the regulator tension spring.  The sooner you can bring the watch to time the longer that tension spring will last,  if it breaks it will be difficult job to find a replacement.

Yes, autowind, I saw that and reduced the tension until I have time to diagnose the issue. I'm in the middle of a Hamilton 922 CLA and as soon as that's done, it's on to the Howard. I'm trying to digest the 922 work to post here in the walkthrough forum. Thanks for the heads up :)

mwilkes, that's a good starting point. Will give it a go, Thanks :)

It's a runner, daz, and a strong one. I did reduce the regulator to reduce stress as suggested and it runs about +35 sec a day. I haven't had time to inspect the reason.

The bow has some brassing but other than that, she's a beauty.
