I'm rebuilding my watch tool box after a few years away from watch repairing.

I was wondering if you have a standard Jaxa case opener do I need to buy a Jaxa type universal case opener or am I just doubling up on tool?

Your advice would be appreciated.

Depends if you already have a good case opener. There is this double handled one on ebay with all the parts. Its they type I had. I have heard the cheep Chinese ones are not strong and not well made. Here is the link in case you are interested.

Hi

Thanks for your reply. Yes I've avoided the cheap versions often sold on eBay. I've managed to aquire a genuine Swiss made standard Jaxa with of all of its parts. It's the one handled version which is the type I'm used to. I've never used the double handled  version before.

If also bought the doubled handled one in your link would I just  be duplicating tools?

I just don't want to waste money.

I think you'll be fine with the single-handle version. Just as long as it's the Swiss version. I have both and rarely use the double-handle version.

Hi

Yes it's a genuine Swiss Jaxa and not one those Jaxa style they peddle on Ebay for £8.00.

Thanks for that you've sved me some money.
