5 years ago my father gave me an old omega pocket watch which belonged to his father. The watch run for a few seconds when shaken and then stopped. I am by nature a tinkerer so I started looking on internet for a fix for my new acquisition. I came across amongst others "the nekkid watchmaker" YouTube channel and I fell in love with watches and watchmaking. I already have a substantial collection of vintage pieces which I have restored. To make a living I am a digestive surgeon and my other hobby is radiocontrol scale model flying -

The format of the numbers on the case back are similar to Longines I have - a two digit and a four digit number. The lack of "Longines" on the dial suggests this might be the case. But then you would expect the jeweller to put their name on. We await the response from Longines. -

I was sort of expecting to find that parts would be difficult to source- my research bears out the lack of complete interchangeability. I'm less concerned about the stop works because the watch could run without it, but it would be nice to have it. I have a gorgeous dial that would be perfect for this watch and the movement is just gorgeous to my eyes. I hate to see it not working. I'm not sure where to start to find similar parts, but I expect learning to fabricate a cannon pinion and center wheel would be even harder. But who knows, it's not like it's going anywhere. Thank you again! -
Oh, I see ... I'll just have to wait for the answer from Longines, and I will tell you. When disassembling the watch, I noticed some figures on the back of the dial. I don't know whether they mean anything. Thanks to all of you!
