Hello from Sheffield in the UK. This year I got into automatic watches by modding the Seiko SKX platform. I started by building a brand new Seiko mechanical watch in memory of my Dad using a NH36 movement and parts from various suppliers to achieve the design I wanted:

I posted the photos on Instagram and people got interested. And so I've built a few other Seiko watches for people and gradually got sucked into trying to fix watches for friends. I'm currently trying to fix a Sellita SW200-1 inside a Bell and Ross which is challenging!

Hello Andy and welcome. I've just joined the site as well. Great looking watch you modded there; well done. I have just started restoring a 4205 Seiko diver. It is a wreck and looks like it has had a leak at some stage so it will be a challenge for a newbie like me. Keep up the great modding.
