Hi,

I was regulating my seiko 4r35 movement and decided to take the balance wheel off just to experience the reinstallation myself as I watched videos on watch repair channel on YouTube and thought it might be quite easy. But during the reinstall I believe I have messed up the hairspring as it runs extremely slow now, looks as if watch will stop any moment.

I need help replacing the balance wheel with new hair spring. Where can I get that done from and how much will it cost me? Any idea?

Thanks in advance

Hi there, welcome to the forum. You may have search online for a complete balance wheel. Part number 310.197 about 25 usd if you can find one. This balance also fits 7s26c movement. Hope this helps

I believe it is messed up as the Shape of the hair spring doesn't look like before. And it's lost 45 minutes in less than 12hrs

Don't you find it odd that it's slow?

As usual better pictures are needed but if you don't want to try to fix it and just want to throw money at the problem no problem except?

This is a watch repair discussion group wouldn't you like to try to fix it first?  Or at least evaluate what you did beyond it doesn't keep time

We need a better picture looking straight down and a picture looking  In sideways.

Then there is a minor problem? Removing the balance wheel and putting it back in for the most part is relatively easy. Removing the balance wheel from a etachron  system bridge requires some skill otherwise you're going to need a replacement replacement balance complete. As it will take a little bit a practice to do this without destroying the new balance.

It might be fun if we can see if we can help you fixed what you have now. If for nothing else it gives you experience with working with the balance working with the hairspring and improves your odds of replacing it if that's really is necessary. Then there is a possibility that they might build help you fix it. But I can't tell from the picture attached which is zoomed the end of the picture you have.

Seiko as usual better picture needed.JPG

Hi John,   odd indeed, even hairspring having jumped out of the etachron regulator slot, wouldn't account for 45min slower daily rate, or would it @JohnR725

Did you look into buying a new NH35 movements on ebay.( inexpensive)

I just save this balance complete for when you gain more experience.
