I've got this Tissot SeaStar with 8980/990 marked on the back-plate.

Unfortunately, there is no battery. Can anybody help me to get knowledge about the correct battery so I can buy a new battery?

Alternativle find the makers mark and caliber number of the movement and post it on the site or a good clear close up of the movement.

It looks like a ETA movement I just don't recognize the number right off the top of my head. I circled in the picture where the number should be

Thank you very much.

I have measure the battery housing to 9,5x2mm (9,5 was acually also printed on the batterycontact) - and by looking up in https://www.watchbattery.co.uk/Replace-Battery-Find-Battery.shtml i found the battery to be 370 or 371, which seems to be equivalent.

I have difficulties ies to read the eta-number, but it looks like 955 414  - and a search reveals  movements that looks similar to mine. They also seems to use battery 370.

Thank you very much for your help.

Thank you for the service sheet. Fortunately, that watch started up as soon as I added a new battery. I think I will have to practice before I can use all the information in the datasheet.
