I spend too much time on Ebay...lol.

Looking at anything horological.

I noticed that anniversary clocks are cheap.  Nobody wants them I guess.  They are cool.  I fixed a bunch when I was a kid doing my dad's clock work.

Why so unpopular?

The anniversary clocks?  With the rotary pendulums and glass globes and near 400-day movements?  Those are cheap right now?

I have no clue at all why they're going for cheap, but I know a "heads-up" when I see one.  Güte Nacht, I am off to surf the internet.

I just fixed one a couple of weeks ago. The glass dome was missing and the movement was gummed up. It's running now and I'm waiting for a new glass dome to arrive.

I have another one on the way, due to arrive in a couple of week's time.

I guess they're not very practical if you have young kids or cats in the house. And anniversary clocks are notoriously difficult to setup and get running.

But in the mean time.... all the better for us. ?
