Hi All,

I bought a ceramic watch a few years ago, and after a fall of about 2 feet a week after getting it, the inside right lug hole got a small chip, large enough for the strap pin to fall out, never to be able to hold the pin in again.

Am I completely out of luck? I do like the watch even though it is heavy, gaudy and fragile.

This is the model:

Would you trust some kind of epoxy or crazy glue? Is that piece replaceable if the face was taken apart? I do not think I have the small piece any longer.

Thanks all!

Hi JohnnyBoy,

From the photo it looks to me like the damage is to the strap not to the lug on the watch. Can that broken part not be removed by using a spring bar removing tool in the notches on either side? That way you could substitute another strap, conventional or ceramic.

Welcome aboard!

Thanks all for the responses and greetings..

I think you are correct about it being part of the strap after closer inspection. I do not have the watch on me but I will check when I get home.

Is it possible that this is part of the watch face? It does not move at all but yes it does look separate.

What tool is needed, a spring bar remover?

Yes - it looks removable, but this stuff is very brittle so be careful removing the spring bars as it would be a travesty to break the main watch head. A nice chunky leather strap may look great in it's place.
