Watch band compass

When I have my suunto compass on my watch band. Will it slowly magnetise my watch.

Shouldn't. Pretty weak magnetic field to a compass needle. You probably expose your watch to more typing on a laptop.

To insure that it doesn't all you have to do spin yourself at a constant angular velocity.  Not fast...just constant.  Maybe moving to the north or south poles would address this as well...ah...but then...who needs a compass at the poles.  @spectre6000is probably correct on this matter.
