Balance staff jewel stuck in chaton

Is the balance staff jewel (pivot/hole jewel) supposed to be removable from the metal chaton of the incabloc assembly? I have been unable to remove it for cleaning. Just to be clear, the chaton with the pivot jewel can be removed from the main incabloc main bloc.

Oh ok, that makes more sense. Will have to be careful not to get rodico in the metal end of the chaton since it can't be disassembled for cleaning!

But make sure that end of the jewel gets properly cleaned. I know from experience that a bit of gunk in the metal end of the chaton can kill the amplitude, but be difficult to spot.  I re-checked the top of the balance jewels and caps, but was only when I looked under the chaton I found the problem.
