May know the answer, however, an Illinois PW I’m working on seems to have bent regulator pins. I have worked on many issues with this watch and the final thing is to straighten the regulator pins so I can get this watch running faster.  Any suggestions on the best way to do this?

on this watch, I replaced 4 jewels in settings and made a setting for the 3rd wheel. I also replace the center wheel Jewel with setting. Also fixed a bent tooth. Almost done. Watch is running strong 270 deg amplitude.

I would remove balance wheel from the cock and manouver the pin very gently with tweezers in the upright position working gently around the circumference of the pin as you straighten, keeping away from the base of the pin. You need the correct opening the length of the regulator pin
One method of ensuring that is pinching them together with a piece of very fine mainspring in between. Then fine tune then to the specifications you need. That's what I do. Haven't broken one yet. Take your time.
