Hello everyone! First time messing around with an NH35 movement because I had issues with the winding stem that I thought might be due to misalignment of the sliding pinion. After getting it back into place and reassembling the movement, I looked at my work table and saw this this part hanging around and immediately panicked. Before I go back in, I was wondering if anyone could help me identify where this goes? Thanks in advance!

That is not an NH35 part. It looks like a pinion for a rotating inner bezel or chapter ring.

What ever part it is its end is bent.

Looks like lens distortion to me, as it's uniform trough the length.

Thank you so much for your help! I'm going to go ahead and case the movement and see how it looks on the timegrapher.

And your above comment is correct, it's probably lens distortion since I took the photo through a loupe.
