You can read about my troubles with this movement under surprising-overbanking-with-correct-mainspring-what-size-should-i-use-gp-cal-27-as-1149

But it turns out that it's not a GP cal 27, which is an AS 1149, (an AS 1130 with different bridges). It looks like one (GP 27 from Ranfft)

I was surprised that a new setting lever didn't fit - too big. It's only when I measured the diameter of the movement, I realised it can't be an AS 1130/1149. (D'oh!)
AS1130/49 diameter 29.4 mm 13 ligne, this movement 27 mm, 12 ligne.

Using ranfft I can't find any contemporary GP movements of this size - 12 ligne. Looking through the AS movements (most of the GP's of the era seem to use AS) I found the AS 1203 (same as 1207, 1263, 1266, 1267, 1311, 1314) is about the right size, and the dial side looks correct - the setting lever looks right.

There is so much wrong with this movement (the ratchet wheel doesn't look original), I'm not sure how much is original GP.

Anyone know what it is ?

(In the jules Borel database they refer to a 'GP 30 OLD', which uses some AS 1203 parts)

there's a name on the ratchet wheel that doesn't seem to correspond anything and three stars? The stars bother me there's something about that that isn't right? I wonder if this is a clone of something?

then one of the ways to identify mystery watches is the fingerprint system. Casually looking at 12 Lbecause there weren't that many. So casually it does look like the 1207 which according to link below as you've already notices a whole series of these that are all similar
