Hi Folks,
I have an omega quartz movement which I need to remove the "stem" from but I haven't a clue where to release in from, I have tried the two screws "circled in Blue" but no luck, could someone tell me how to do it please.
Cheers.

Press on the dimple in the hole between the two screws. That is the common way on quartz modules, where loosening a screw is never needed.

What's the best thing to use, metal or wood.

Normally fine tips tweezers are used, just make sure you press in the correct stem position, move it and observe the lever inside the hole first.

I'll give it ago tomorrow and let you know how I get on.

I take it you have to press the dimple back in again, when you put the stem back in

Just want to say thanks for your help, it's much appreciated.

Normally not. Observe the chamfered edge on the stem groove, which pushes up the lever when refitting. Sometime you have to turn the crown  a bit to help parts ease themselves.
