Hi!

I've almost finished building this watch on an Asian 2836 basis and suddenly I can't set the time or change the date anymore. I think I pressed too hard when releasing the winding stem.

I already tried this:

but I wasn't able to see anything out of order.

Can anybody diagnose my watch?

Thank you in advance!

Hi  as you say probably pressed too hard and displaced some part which is making the task difficult. As you are using an Aisian clone there are no tech sheets etc for them let alone parts.  so I have enclosed the sheet for the ETA 2836 in the hope there are enough similarities to enable you to make a comparison.

Thank you. The clone movement should be exactly the same (from my understanding and experience).

Since I don't know what's broken, I don't know what to look for, unfortunately.

Hi  Just a careful analasys  in conjunction with the tech sheet will probably yeild a result. Take pictures as you proceed for reference should you have to refer back.  good luck

There's a slot across the setting lever button on the ETA 2836-2. The purpose of this slot is that you press the setting lever button using a screwdriver and this will prevent dislocating the parts in the keyless works. As @Kaniesays, you'll have to reset the keyless works.
