Purchased an eBay Bulova 10BPAC 23 Jewell movement and upon disassembly I discovered the screw for the automatic winding weight was missing. I have attempted to search the inner web to see if I could find a movement service sheet so as to identify the screw required with no luck. Can anyone provide information on the size or number of the screw that is required.

normally in watch repair we don't do this. That would mean your options are as already mentioned purchase another movement to get the part. Find a tech sheet or parts list like the link below.. figure out which screw you probably need by name. You click on the screw it give the cross reference that gives you more movements to purchase to try to get the screw. Or you can look and see if back C have one in stock.

"don't do" what?  I am confused

maybe it's my misinterpretation? Asking the size of the screw like 5/64 that's what I was interpreting so normally and watch repair we never know the size of the screw. We'll know the part number the screw hopefully if you find anything resembling technical information but there's almost no sizing published specification we normally don't look up a generic screw by size. Even though some of the American watch companies published all the thread sizes they don't even list are screws by size it still by part number.

Oh, I get it.

Yeah, I have often wondered about sizes and standards for watch screws.  I have a pretty good screw assortment.  While I have been able to avoid losing screws, I do come across movements with missing screws and the screw assortment comes to my rescue.

The only screw I have made (turned on lathe) is a setting-lever screw and I figured out the size and threads by finding a screw from the assortment that fit and then finding the place where it fit on my screw plate and then used that position to thread the new screw.  If there is a better approach, I am all ears.

which screw?

I think the little screw to oscilating weight retaining spring, there is no other screw to rotor.
