Hi, my first question and hopefully not my last :
My
Seamaster 600 pre-deville needs a new sweep second pinion, the movement is caliber 610 so I assume the correct pinion is the 1250B ?
How difficult is the replacement procedure and would I be out of my mind to attempt it ? - I should say that I am not a watchmaker but am handy with small tools etc.
Thanks, Ben.

From what I have seen on the sheets  1250    1250b    1250d look very much alike as the definition is not too good, there must be some reason there are three versions.  Could be height,   shaft diameter,  Checked up and found .

1250D  height = 5.99mm   parts restricted by manufacturer

1250B height = 5.69mm     obsolete.

so in either case its a case of finding NOS parts.

Just a heads up on the Omega 610 - after some research I think there are two seconds sweep pinions which may fit 1250D and 1250B.
Whether the 610 caliber was originally intended to go with the monocoque case I don't know, but that's what I have.
Cheers.
