Cylinder escapement pocket watch - barrel arbor soldered to the ratchet wheel?

Hello gurus,

I have an old cylider escapement pocket watch on my bench and am puzzled by the barrel construction. The watch is wound with a key. The barrel arbor and with it the barrel seems to be fixed to the winding arbor on the top side of the bridge and thus not intended to be taken apart. See the pics below. Can anyone confirm this or educate me on how to take this apart?

I think that once the mainspring is removed, you can push the arbor out and separate it from the barrel and bridge, for further examination. And that will reveal that is machined as a single piece, not soldered.

I had this sneaky feeling that it unscrewed but was not sure of the exact manner in which it came apart

Yes there supposed unscrew. Sometimes like the link above shows they even put nifty holes that you can use to unscrew the arbor part. But unfortunately sometimes for unknown reasons it does not unscrew.
