Patek Philippe 12-120 Set Lever Spring fitting

Anybody ever fit the subject spring? I have the watch on the bench and the clutch will not travel far enough to engage the setting wheel. The set lever spring is worn or improperly fitted. I have the new part (almost $400 US) and it needs to be fitted to the set lever and clutch spring. I thought I would ask before going off in the wrong direction.

Pics would be really helpful. I've done this on both Pateks and LeCoultre, but no idea at all what to tell you without pics.

Done. The new part (upper right in the pic) is still rough when produced. All these were hand assembled and the springs were fitted at assembly. The problem was holding the spring while removing metal to make everything work in both winding and setting. I used a hand broaching vise and placed the locating pin in the smallest hole. It worked great. thanks for all the answers.
