Got them today for $20...been sorting through them. Mostly fashion quartz, but then there was a Rolex!! Opened it up...fake. BUT, it has an ETA 2834 running in what appears to be great condition.  Also found a nice Caravelle, a  nice lady's 14k rose gold Bulova. Nice day.

I am remote so cannot explore details.

Just a thought. A fake rolex may contain a fake 2834, since those are broadly available from china. Most famously in the form of the sea-gull st2146, which itself has fakes from within china.

That's not to say it's not a good movement.

If you try and buy an st2146, most of the listings picture a movement with either no markings or ETA markings.

I have a hard time believing that a genuine sea-gull movement is marked as an eta movement.
