I have worked on several k825 movement and the only issue that may need special attention is the release of the alarm hammer.

Do you have further information about that? I have to work on my 815 soon because of a possibly broken alarm spring.

@watchweasolthanks a lot, I was already looking for something like that. The alarm spring seems to be part no. 7771. I found alarm springs with the same part no. but for other memovox movements. Do you think they are interchangeable?

Its quite likely that they are , as manufacturers allways try to minimise production costs by using parts of other models in the same family What I would do is to checkout with Dr Rannft's web site for the springs and family menbers   (google Ranfft JLC 8150 and see what turns up.

@watchweasol

I had already checked ranfft, but unfortunately there is a missing size in the alarm spring measurement:

2.00 x ? x 0.075 x 400mm

guess I have to measure it myself once I took it apart.

That would be the ring diameter the spring is delivered in. My Generale Ressorts book lists ref. 5714 2.00x0.075x400x9 (9 is the ring diameter) for JLC 489 alarm barrel, so seems the same between the two (and the 814 and 825 according to Ranfft). I work on one of these every 6 months or so, and for the life of me I can't remember if they are actually T end or not- my gut says T, LeCoultre used them a lot. Curious what you find when you open it up. The GR ref above is supposed to be normal end.

Thanks to all who replied. I found a relatively cheap alarm spring for the lecoultre 911 and I will see if it fits 🙂

My other question was what I have to pay special attention to when I remove the alarm hammer. Does someone have any tips?
