Hi everyone

I'm seeking advice for a watch I've been gifted from an elderly relative and is in need of repair. Google brought me here and I hope some of you will have advice to share. I'm from Scotland and have a keen interest in repairing watches, although I am far more experienced in electronics, so I still have a lot to learn about watches.

Thanks :)

Hello and welcome to the forum.  also in Scotland. first thing is we need to see the watch in question so pictures of the watch and its movement and the nature of the problem or what advice you require regarding the watch.

Welcome to the forum @DrunknMunky

I have seen a recommendation from other members on here that if the watch holds great sentimental value, take it to someone that is recognised for repair. Using it as the watch 'to start out on' may end up in tragedy.
