Hi, thanks for letting me join. Always been interested in watches, and thanks to a enforced period of shielding and then 16 months of furlough thanks to Covid, I decided to have a go. Started on pocket watches and moved on to cheap vintage movements off eBay. Starting to get more success than failures, although hairsprings proving to be a challenge. Been a copier engineer for 45 years and enjoyed the new challenge and hoping to be doing this when I no longer have to get my hands covered in toner.

Welcome to the forum Martin.

I bought myself a nice full hunter Rotherham pocket watch which I am going to do eventually. Clocks to cut my teeth on first, then I will look to old junk watches before I take on my pocket watch.
