So I'm working my way through a box of old watches I've bought to tinker with/restore, and the next up on my desk is this Wolbrook/Douglas Skindiver Worldtimer.  Wolbrook was a French company that started in the 40s and didn't make it out of the quartz crisis.  This particular watch actually has a connection to the astronaut Neil Armstrong, because he owned one as a personal watch before being issued his Omega for the moon mission.  That watch was auctioned off in 2019 by Neil's brother, and spawned a rebirth of the Wolbrook Company as a result.  Because of that, I'm having a tough time finding information on the vintage version, since all my search results are crowded with stories of the reissue.

So if anyone can recognize this movement, it would help me out.  The movement is signed Wolbrook watch company, and the appears to be French.  It is a 1 jewel pin pallet movement and seems to be in OK condition, but at minimum I'm going to need a stem/crown, a new crystal, and I suspect a balance staff.  The dial is perfect, the plated case is very good, and the worldtimer bezel is in tact but missing a chunk.  But until I figure out what this is, I'm stuck.

So one more question; it appears that the stem is listed as W3119 but I can't seem to find any mention of what the thread pitch is for that stem.  Is there a resource that I can use to look up what thread this stem has so that I can order a crown at the same time I order the stem?

Some alternatives I can think of that might save you some £.

WRT member @AndyHull  is  familiar with this types of watches , he is likely to be real helpful.

There is also  http://www.obsoletewatchandclockparts.com    based in UK.

A scrap movement is actually yoir best bet.

Good luck

I'm not familiar with that particular movement, it does appear to be a relative rarity. If you do find a source for the stem, then ask the supplier to check the thread, as I'm sure they would be able to offer a crown to fit at the same time.

I have a large box of random stems (several thousand) that I scored on ebay a while back, so when I'm stuck with a stem I cannot source, I typically painstakingly work my way through likely looking candidates until I find something that works.

What's interesting is that doing a bit of research, the movement isn't super rare, but the non-jeweled version of this watch was a cheap watch that probably got thrown away rather than serviced/fixed.  At one point they were making 10,000 per day!  I've yet to locate a parts movement, but I'll keep looking.  I appreciate the resource you listed; they don't have this movement but they do have quite a few others that might come in handy.  I'll set an eBay automated search and maybe I'll get lucky.
