I need some help. I have an Elgin 18s pocket watch with screw on bezel and back. The back will unscrew nicely but the bezel and crystal will not move. I've tried all I can think of with no luck. HELP THANK YOU>>>

I've had success with stiff bezels by using 3 finger cots - one on the thumb and the others on the index and middle fingers. The thin rubber grips well and doesn't mark the metal. A sticky ball is great for the case back, but I wouldn't care to put much pressure on the crystal - particularly if the watch is old..

Use three on each hand if need be - one hand gripping the case side and the other turning the bezel.

Thanks, I'll try the cots.  I've thought of putting the whole watch in the ultrasonic cleaner with a detergent to see if that would loosen it up. Any thoughts?

NO!!! Do not put watch in cleaner.

Try putting it in the freezer and then try with the cots as WillFly suggested or a rubber case opening ring.

Excellent idea! :)

Try using hot glue stick, and a bottle top (gator aid) is larger.

Worked great for me
