Hello,

I bought an interesting R. Lapanouse watch a while ago and I'd like to use it to learn and practice on. It's a very simple 1 jewel (yep) Lapanouse/Rego 147 movement and I feel it's a good watch for a complete beginner to work on. It does run but it has a few issues. The setting lever spring is broken but I have managed to find a replacement on eBay, but also the wheel that powers the lower sub dial is missing the tiny pinion that holds the hand in place. I'd love to try and find a new one so the watch is in full working order, however, I'm not really sure what this wheel is called, and I'm also not having much luck in finding many parts for these movements in general.

Could someone please tell me the name of this part so I can do some proper searching online for a replacement?

Does anyone have any recommendations for where I should look apart from eBay?

I've attached an image of the movement with the broken part circled in red. I've also attached an image of the complete watch for reference.

Many thanks,

Simon

Your best bit would be to look for a donor movement.

Do you still have the sub hand?

For such an low-end watch...little to lose...if it were me, I would try to replace the pivot.  Requires a lathe, of course.  I have tried it once unsuccessfully, but will try again at the next time I need to.
