Seiko kinetic

hi, i have a seiko 5M62-0CZ0 date and stem at 3. The movement is rusty and damaged would a 5M65 fit as an alternative movement or can anyone give me advice on one that would fit.

The 5M65 is bigger and wouldn't fit in place of a 5M62. You could use a 5M82 but considering its price new a reasonable approach would be getting a donor mov.t or watch, otherwise accept the loss and sell for parts.

I was wondering are the seiko 5m62 and 5m63 basically the same movement, and the only difference is one has date and the other having a day date.

That is correct, it's common that day/date Seiko are named as date + 1.

Hi everyone, i have now found most parts to repair the seiko 5m62 kinetic movement i could use some help in finding the code for the crown the model is a 5M62-0CZO  but its a black crown i am looking for any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance
