Folks - I have a Dreyfuss 1953 ‘seafarer’ automatic wrist watch which has developed a fault with the mechanical winding mech. My plan was to swap out the existing Swiss 2824 ‘clone’ (VAL24) movement and replace with a seagull equivalent. Unfortunately I can’t establish if the movement is fitted from the rear of the case or the front..? Initial inspections indicate the movement, dial, etc are installed from the front but I’m not sure.. Any information would be appreciated.

Thanks much - Salmo..

When a beginner is confused about that, for sure it's a front loader. Please be aware, with almost any question you need to post clear pictures to enable others to help you.
