Have a couple of old quartz watches .One Avia and a Tissot 430 . They are the first generation of the quartz movement . They are losing some time . I am thinking of servicing them . They are 17 jewels and have a balance like  ordinay movements . Their is even an escapewheel and a pallet fork .

My wonder is ? Could i use a Timegrapher to set the timing ? Don't now the lift angle if there is any but the frequency is 32768 hz . Or should i send them to Electric-watches.co.uk  ?

I have tried normal quartz on a Timegrapher but they just don,t register because they are to quiet. I as wondering if you could use a Timegrapher with pocket watches by attaching a length of wire to the stem & the mic pick up.

It actually did work .But i don't now if the readings are right . On this movement you can adjust both beat error and timing . I will take a picture . But i think i will send them to Paul for a check . This watch is ticking like a normal movement and has a sweeping hand .
