Hi

I am a new member to the site and to the hobby of watch repair. I have been repairing pocket watches here in the UK for some tiome now with mixed success. The older budget 'dollar' watches are where I score most results given they are easier to work on and somewhat more robust than the more premium watches. Like most, I suspect, I get most of my watches from eBay. I have purchased many tools over the last 18 months to do most jobs 'properly' but the skill is still developing.

So I am still very much a novice and hope I can learn much from all the other members here.

Hi @Edifred, I mistakenly thought I could interchange parts on an old Elgin and created various headaches along the way. I have some other movements that I'm working on.
