Hello from New Jersey

Hi Everyone,

My name is Steve (a.k.a. signcarver). I had a career as a computer programmer, from which i retired in 2003. Then, I made hand carved signs for 5 years. Then, because handling heavy wood signs was becoming too much, i switched to web design. I retired from web design over the past two years because i no longer wanted to be responsible for someone else's website.

I have always enjoyed watches and I own a few but i am, by no means, a collector.

I watch many YouTube videos on watches and watch repair. Luckily i stumbled upon Mark's online class, which i am taking now.

My goal is to learn the trade to the point where i can repair a few family pocket watches and then see where i go from there.

I love cars and own a MINI Cooper, which is the reason for my avatar.

I look forward to learning from all of you here.

I was born in Jersey but now I'm on the opposite side of the country.
