I suspect that with a production "run" of 150 pieces we are unlikely to ever encounter one in the wild. It is also water resistant to 10 meters. Who is going to wear a 1.7 million CHF (1.74 million USD as of this morning) watch in the water?

It sure is a technical marvel, but the primary purpose of a watch is to indicate the time clearly, and the watch face  is kind of small, compared to the entire dial.

To be fair, there are quite a number of high end watches where the watch face doesn’t occupy the whole dial, such as the Lange 1 of A Lange Sohne, but the watch face is still large enough to be legible.

For you and me probably but I'm not sure that's the primary purpose when you're paying close to $2 million for 1 of 150 pieces.

The Haldimann H9 Reduction has a completely black crystal through which you can't see the hands or the tourbillon. Not sure if it has a display back?
